Scottish fashion and bridal designer Joyce Young OBE received her OBE investiture at Buckingham Palace on February 11, 2014, after being named in the 2013 New Year Honours list. She received her honour for services to textiles and the community of Glasgow.
Joyce commented;
“ A huge big thank you to everyone for all your lovely supportive comments. I had a wonderful day on Friday with Maurice, Susie, and Ian at the investiture, followed by a fantastic surprise meal at San Lorenzo’s with family and friends. Still pinching myself; I can’t really believe I got this honour for something I love doing so much”
