The Callanish Tartan is The World’s most iconic Scottish Wedding Tartan, and is described as a stunning blend of heritage and romance in the beautiful colours of nature.

In the beginning, The Callanish Tartan was commissioned by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 16th March 2010 at Buckingham Palace, when Malcolm Campbell the mast weaver & designer was introduced to Her Majesty and beguiled her with stories of wool, of sheep, of Harris Tweed, of Tartan and of Scotland’s textile heritage.

Some of our brides are choosing to have the tartan of their new husband made into organza bows and belts and added to their dresses in the evening as a surprise. Others are going for organza tartan trains, stoles and capes for their daytime look.

It’s not all about weddings Tartan and Harris Tweed® for every season
In this range, we have a selection of designs crafted from Harris Tweed® and Wool Tartan. Some quirky and some classic, with a twist. These are available in our Glasgow studio and can be ordered individually in your choice of colour and tartan.
Originally woven for home use and for protection from the colder climes of the highlands of Scotland. Harris Tweed® is a cloth that has been handwoven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.
