Morven started to plan her wedding dress early, almost 2 years in advance of the date. She doesn’t live in the UK, so her visits for fittings would be infrequent. She had an idea how she wanted to look. She tried on some similar-shaped samples, and we added, changed, and tweaked to come up with the perfect design for her. It was sketched out and fabrics chosen. The main dress is crafted in stretch crepe, with the sleeves and detachable train in silk organza trimmed with a beautiful French Guipure edging.
It was made over 4 fittings. The pictures below show the sketch and collection day from our Glasgow design studios.
Morven and Tom’s wedding was in Brittany on the 6th June 2026. We were delighted to receive access to her fabulous wedding album. The venues (yes, there were two) are in Brittany, and everyone had the most fabulous day.
We also made Morven’s mother’s dress and stunning hat . It is such a privilege to be chosen and entrusted with such important dresses. All of our team at Joyce Young are passionate about what we do. Thank you, Morven and Pauline, for choosing us ❤️
