Judy Murray Wool Coat and Silk Dress

Designer, Joyce Young, has over the past 4 decades carefully created a core collection of bespoke dresses and outfits that flatter and ensure you stand out as the mother of the bride or groom. This wool coat and silk dress combination is an incredibly special outfit in our mother of the bride or groom collection. This dress and coat was originally designed for Joyce Young to wear to her own investiture and was dubbed the OBE coat. This special mother of the brides or groom’s coat has since been renamed the Judy Murray coat after Judy wore it as her own mother of the groom’s outfit for Andy and Kim’s wedding. Safe to say, this show-stopping coat and dress is a special one to us. 

With Judy Muray looking so incredible wearing it as mother of the groom at Andy and Kim’s wedding, we have unashamedly photographed it in exactly the same colour palette and fine wools and silks she chose. This elegant dress is created in sand washed silk with an embroidered and sequined bodice and the complementary coat is made in fine wool. Both coat and dress are in elegant shades of cream, with this being a made-to-measure outfit we have a selection of different colours available.
