Huge congratulations to all the amazing women who were awarded honours in the Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours list .
What a very special year to be chosen to receive an award .
Hopefully the investiture dates are starting to get back to normal after the postponements of the last two years .
We have made lots of outfits this year for our lovely clients who were receiving awards some at Buckingham Palace , some at Windsor Castle and some at Holyrood Palace.
The one thing they all had in common, apart from being very worthy recipients of Royal recognition , is that they didn’t have long to prepare once they were given the date of their investitures .
Below are a few pictures of the outfits which had speedy turnaround times over the past few months . Others to be posted after the ceremonies which are coming up soon .
After the excitement of receiving the invitation to accept the Royal award comes the big question of what to wear . Initially you won’t have a date so not a lot of warning about what season it will happen.
It is usually a morning event and you won’t want to look like you are going to a wedding, at the same time looking smart and elegant for what will be, for many, a once in a lifetime event meeting a member of the Royal Family in a Royal Palace .
Maria chose a 4 pc outfit and matching beret to receive her CBE at Windsor Castle
