We are excited to launch our new advert featuring the ‘Forever Girlfriend’ illustration by Pedro. There is a lovely story behind it.
Sometimes you can wrack you brain for ideas and spend months planning marketing ideas. Sometimes things just happen and present themselves out of the blue.
This is how our latest advert came about. One day last month #joyceyoungcollections was tagged on Instagram by #peterbackground.
Below is his Instagram post. We loved the ‘Forever Girlfriend’ illustration of our London shop window we got in touch to ask if we could use it for an advert. We love the sentiment of the girl looking longingly at wedding dresses and her boyfriend while still holding onto her is more interested in his phone. Even the young sweethearts’ arms and legs form a heart shape .
The illustration is by a young Spanish artist called Pedro. He told me that he had had this idea for a long time of a young girl looking wistfully at a wedding dress. One day he was cycling past our London shop window and was stopped in his tracks and knew “this is THE dress”.
Some time later he posted his beautifully sensitive illustration on Instagram and tagged us. We fell in love with it and felt that it represents our company so well, as it says “we are different”.
Our first advert is out this week on the back cover of Tie the Knot.
The wedding dress in his illustration is from our Couture Collection called Philippa.
Philippa is a beautiful couture strapless satin wedding dress with a detachable long sleeved satin jacket. The full skirt leads into a stunning cathedral train. Worn here with the Elegant Coat And Dress With Guipure Detail outfit from the Mother of the Bride and Groom Special Occasion Wear Collection.
Philippa is one of our Couture Gowns, therefore you can choose the design exactly as shown or make your own changes to customise your dress. All of our bespoke bridal gowns are made to measure, and tailored to flatter your body shape and size and are available in a range of fabrics that are sold exclusively from our shops in London and Glasgow.
Thank you Pedro for your amazing ‘Forever Girlfriend’ illustration you are very talented.
