Before these sheer tartans were made up into garments Joyce took the meters of tartan organza down to the coast where she grew up looking out to Arran .
The vision of the tartan floating over the landscape “tartaning ” the view came to life. Helped by her childhood friend they threw the organza in the air at Saltcoats harbour, Ardrossan North Shore and Portencross Castle creating a very effective tartan landscape much to the amusement of passers by.
This was on Sunday 16th February . By end of day Monday much of the tartan was cut and the outfits started to take shape. By late Friday evening with the dedication of our team the showpiece was finally finished and the first collection complete to be launched on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February on the RAD Runway at the Scottish Wedding show at the SECC in Glasgow.
What a difference a week makes !
