The Scottish Wedding Show

We recently exhibited at the Scottish Wedding Show at the SEC and are still reeling with the excitement of meeting so many future brides and mothers of the bride or groom. As veteran exhibitors (we have been attending the show twice a year since 1995) we love the buzz that surrounds the wedding show weekend and the slightly frantic build up to it…

Behind the scenes of showcasing a brand new collection on the catwalk, there is a very busy production unit. Our talented and hardworking in-house production team are pro’s when it comes to meeting tight deadlines, it’s not uncommon for our new designs to appear on the catwalk hot off the sewing machines.

Despite our Instagram poll poking fun at whether we would complete the outfits in time, in actual fact there is never a shred of doubt about our production unit’s capabilities. See below, the design process and exquisite craftmanship that goes into each garment displayed on the catwalk.

Our exhibition stand displayed both bridal and mother of the bride and groom designs in front of our brand’s distinctive backdrop. Check out our Tiktok to see what we got up to on the first day. With our stand being placed beside or friends the Kings of Kilts, Macgregor and Macduff and directly across from the Manorview hotel group, home to our neighbours at Boclair house, we were delighted to be surrounded by so many wonderful wedding suppliers.

We had great fun at the Manorview group’s stand, especially on their swing chair!
We chatted with the lovely team at Boclair house in preparation for us attending their wedding experience evening on Thursday the 27th of October, so don’t worry if you missed us at the wedding show – there’s still time to catch us at Boclair!

The highlight of the wedding show is always the much anticipated catwalk. As we were opening the show we had to start off with a bang. Our elegant models sashayed down the runway bride and mother hand in hand before separating to individually show off their bespoke outfits. Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ set the scene to our seasonally themed catwalk. Check out our Tiktok to visualise the design process, taking you from sketches to the catwalk.

Participating in the wedding show catwalk is always an exciting time for us as after the rush to get all the designs finished in time we get to sit back and enjoy seeing the vision come together.
